What's going on? Guests AKA: What Brought you to AO?

Is it just me, or are there always a tonne of "Guests" viewing the forums at any given time?

Currently Active Users: 80 (8 members and 72 guests)

I remember when I first came here I poked around for like an hour or so, then I began commenting on things. I think I started out in the Paranormal forum then moved over to Religion.

So, how many of the Regulars here were Lurkers before they registered and began posting? Also, what forum was the one that "made" you start posting?

I registered back in 2006 but it was nearly a year later before I began posting with any regularity.
But when I came back to check it out again, I waited a few weeks again before posting, I think.
I wanted a chance to read through stuff and get the feel of the place.
I do not remember what prompted me to post, but it was most likely something in Religion.

I will not Deny it that the CLOCK is so fast sometimes really when you are always busy doing many things...

I was actually searching for forums that revolved around things going on in Arizona when I happened upon this place. I signed up here right away...was that just this past December...January? I'm too lazy to look at my start date. Ha ha!

I also forget what I first posted to, even though it wasn't that long ago. I think a lot of people just enjoy reading the forum, and that's why there's so many guests online all the time.

Found the original AO around March 2003 if I'm recalling correctly. Think I finally registered sometime in April of 03. I think I came out of lurker mode due to the complete lunacy exhibited by our then residentual religious fundies...they were less cryptic and far more on point back then too...

I never realized that I joined on April Fool's Day, lol. That was almost four years ago. I joined because DN told me I had to. I'm a sporadic poster. I've gone from months to about a year between posts.

you know I have no idea at all what brought me here, just that I had been a member for a while and rare surfer, and sometime last year got more interested in this site. hmm..now I am actually tempted to see how far I can read back on my posts to find out wtf was the reason that got me to be a regular poster. I think it might have been to get an avatar that made me decide to make more than fifty posts??

I think my first real debate at AO was with mike and it was about how the rules of logic as we know them could or could not apply to anything pre existence.... I dont recall lurking... But I also dont recall joining.
