I am moving some things around in the navigation bar - don't fear, the rules aren't changing - not that you people live by them anyways
This was written in correspondence with the forums rules.
Q. Where is the Original FAQ?
The Original FAQ for vBulletin and our current forums system can be
found here. It answers nearly EVERY technical question you might have, and goes into depth about all user-side controls.
Q. Modding and Ban Infractions - Seven deadly sins
1. Hateful Comments. "Shut up ***," "Fuck you Newb," etc.,
2. Member Harassment (including pm's, threats).
3. Multiple User Accounts unless first approved. (IE beta testing, an account for blogging, etc...)
4. Orchestrating forum raids or repeatedly hammering a part of the site in the hopes to cause slow downs or interrupt other members.
5. Posting a private conversation or personal information without consent of parties involved.
6. Trolling (posting ridiculous/nonsensical/irrelevant/racial/disturbing comments, images or links), posting to stir shit/cause problems.
7. Porn. Posting or outwardly soliciting/providing pornographic images or links.
These are the terms you agree to when you are on the forums, and must be accepted before you are allowed to have a User Account.
1. Do not spam. Do not post links in threads leading to obvious endorsements or advertisements of consumer goods or services. All posts consisting of such content will be edited or deleted, and repetition of such acts can result in membership banning. If any member is unsure if their post/publication could be classified as spam it is best to consult with a moderator or administrator prior to posting such content.
Do not start a thread or reply only leaving a link and no comments. If you wish others to visit a website that reinforces your point, please make sure that you make some comments of your own instead of just letting the link speak for you. This is classified as spam and your thread/post will be deleted. If you continue to do this you will receive spam infractions and are subject to denial of service.
2. Armageddon Online believes in free thought and the free flow of information, but will not tolerate derogatory, racist, or hate driven comments. Out of benefit of doubt and patience, any member violating this rule will be warned publicly and possibly privately. If such activity continues the member will be banned from Armageddon Online. We allow profanity with limits. Any and all excessive profane posts will be deleted and the member(s) infracted or banned.
3. Refrain from blatant name calling, insults or the likes. Some discussions get a bit emotional and heated. Respond to posts maturely and intelligently, straying away from relying on childish insults. Antagonizing members and provocation is permitted as long as it is on an intelligent wavelength. Do not provoke members just to get a rise out of them.
4. Armageddon Online is a haven for people as young as the age of 13, thus inappropriate links, images, or posts are subject to punishment to the full extent of Armageddon Online's capabilities. Inappropriate material includes, but is not limited to pornography, offensive sexual content, vulgar or obscene images, excessive gore, extremely violent imagery, links to obvious sites containing illegal content, and software piracy - includes warez websites, crack sites, password sites, and others in the warez genre. Violations will result in prompt and permanent denial of service to the Armageddon Online Forums and could be reported to local authorities.
5. Armageddon Online respects the original works by authors outside of this community, therefore do not post entire articles written by outside sources. Posting a paragraph or thesis on an article in reference to a thread created, and then adding a link to the source is perfectly reasonable; but posting the entire article violates international copyright laws. Posts violating such laws will be completely removed. Be smart about what is posted. If members choose not to visit a link contributed in the original thought it is their choice and leaves more room for discussion. Repeat offenders are subject to banning.

A little Q & A
Q. How many posts till I get such and such a rank or privilege?
1 = dead meat. You were standing at ground zero and are FUBAR.
Regular posting allowed.
30 = Radioactive. You probably nearly died when the bombs were going off, and now you are Radioactive. The good news is that you get a
100x100 Avatar.
150 = Lucky survivor. You barely lived to this point. Congratulations! Your reward? Your life.
350 = Prepared survivor. You were looting convenience stores before most people knew what happened. You can now upload and use
animated avatars, with larger files.
750 = Leader of the bomb shelter = You had plenty of Miller Highlife stockpiled and invited people over to watch the end of the world.... as seen on this website.
Storage for Private messages is increased x2, slightly larger size allowed in your avatar.
1000+ = Lauchin' Nukes at Noobs! You were a Conspirer and had been planning the attack. You now have access to the items listed above, and can use a
Custom user title for under your name.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q.
How do I send and view received Private Messages, or change my avatar, password or email as well as check up on subscribed threads?
All of this can be achieved through the User Control Panel which can be accessed from the top of the site by clicking the button USER CP, there you can view subscribed threads/forums, edit your profile and manage your private messages etc. You can also choose to have a "pop up" box remind you that you've received a private message.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q. I've cleaned out my PM box but it still says it's full?
Clean out your sent items folder. When ever you send a PM, it is copied into the Sent Item folder and takes up as much space as an incoming PM. The total PM box capacity is 70 messages, you can regularly check how full your PM box is from the Forums Index.

Q. Is there a place where I can see all the smile emoticons I can use?
Yes,
right here.
