I would like a way to differentiate posts by folks who I otherwise might not want to read but may not want to completely shield myself from. It would be nice if we could dim the box that their posts show up in.
Instead of selecting an individual as someone I do not want to be bothered with, and otherwise would completely miss their input, their message could receive a rating that dims their posts.
A dimming rating would come from each users input so would show up on an individual basis. i.e. if I think MM's posts suck I could dim MM down down rather than ignore him completely. Unless you personally select the post for reading, the post would remain shadowed. By not completely eliminating the post of cretins, trolls and ne'er do wells (in you own eyes) you could still see if if those folks actually may be contributing to the thread.
