Terrorism or fraud?

Just last week or so I was listening to the news on the radio to update myself on the politcal genre of this country. There was another not so surprising annnouncement on a possibility of a terrorist attack some time soon "yaddi,yaddi,yadda" based on new 'intelligence'. We've all heard that one before. I was with one of my causins at the time and he too was listening in on the radio. I looked around (we were in his car at the time) and said, "I don't get it. Theres plenty of targets, PLENTY, in this country that would be a potential terrorist attack, why haven't these 'terrorist' done something? Are they not these islamic fanatics that'll kill themselves along with a number of their 'enemies' (or the public/innocent) based on jihad?" Then he answered, "If that's true, don't you think we'd all be dead by now?", and ofcouse not ALL literally dead, but plenty of mayhem done by attacks.

This thought has been floating in my mind lately for a few days now, but does anyone start to think this supposably terrorism is actually based on a religous war? Maybe perhaps planned by something much more sinister using the islamic religon to cover up the truth thats behind this?

I'm sure I'm not the first to ever bring this up, but I haven't found a thread on this. Just my thoughts, whats yours? (be serious now)

Well there's a difference in the people you're dealing with. The muslims in the west wouldn't neccesarily be like the muslims back in the Middle East. Plus all muslims aren't the same. These fanatics, such as Bin Laden, follow a strict form of Islam. There's 3 very extreme forms that I'm aware of that various middle eastern based terrorist organizations base their beliefs on.

It's not as easy conducting massive attacks right in the United States than say Iraq. Again, different people, different scenarios, different circumstances. Plus there are a hell of a lot of precautions that have been ante up since 9/11. Ever been to an airport in the last couple of years or even recently? There's quite a lot of racial profiling that is going on and not just there.

Yeah I think it would be easy for terrorists to create mayhem - anywhere in the world including the USA. They don't need to fly into airports with bombs to do it. They could just come as a tourist and buy anything they want when they get there. They dont have to use weapons to cause havoc. They can contaminate water supplies very easily with any substance, destroy public utilities, start fires or many other things, etc. This point though does get me wondering. Well if they can do anything then why haven't they already done it? There's always opportunities to do something.

This makes me think that there's something more sinister about it. Could this be a plot by the so called illuminati or circle of rich world controllers to rid the world of the so called usless millions of consumers? By lessening the burden of overpopulation they might make it easier for themselves to take over the world in a one world government type scenario. I know this idea may seem a bit farfetched but it's not outside the realms of possibility.

Make no bones about it - The present world leaders and elite are a cunning and conniving bunch of sneaks! They like to have their hands into everything where they will/can make a profit and, war = PROFITS. Always, they will have clean fingernails if they can manipulate it that way. They are merciless in how they carry it out as can be evidenced by their stubboness to make peace and offer prosperity for all citizens of the world. Peace could be made right now in all places if they really wanted it but obviously they dont want it. It would make them poor and without power if the world was a better place. And thats what they dont want!

in the middle east, the radicals like bin laden train their followers that the us is evil - this includes young kids. from the time they can speak they are taught that the united states is evil...

i dont think that terrorism is anything more than some crazed humans doing what they believe in. for most of these terrorists, hating the us is what they know, and so they do it. to them, the united states is evil, and while our country may not be, to them its a truth.

any number of people can be pursuaded to believe something that isnt true, ie hitler during the great depression. hitler was a great public speaker, and blamed the problems of germany on a specific group of people - the jews.

its basically the same thing today. radicals like bin laden and such see the united states as a threat to their religion; to the middle east as a whole. instead of peaceful negotiations, they choose to blow themselves up, to fly planes into buildings, and spite terror into the hearts of americans.

in 1993, after the first world trade center bombings, security was just as tight. but not even 10 years after, security at potential targets - airports, harbors, places of political importance - all were lax enough for the terrorists to slip in and cause destruction. it may take 10 years, it make take 20 years, but sometime security will begin to slack off again, and it will only be a matter of time before they pull something big off again.

not one of you can deny it would be easier to simply eradicate the threat at the source. Don't be sensitive in your dealings as not one ofthem is sensitive in their efforts to eradicate you and yours.

End it now, and your grandkids won't have to worry about being beheaded by some fanatical asshole intent on getting the alleged 40 hymens they've been promised.

A journalist of The Sun (an English tabloid) only needed 20 minutes to get a job as a luggage carrier at an airport. He lied about name, adress and financial data: none were checked...

It was no problem at all to smuggle a fake bomb into an airliner. When the plane had left the airport, the journalist went public.

This is very frightening. It is not a problem AT ALL for ANYONE to plan a terrorist attack. However, I am pretty sure the next one won't be anything as small (!!) as an airliner. It would not surprise me at all if BL would multiply the number of WTC casualties at least by 10 next time...

I would take all warnings seriously.
