Now is the time, RW... who will win the Super Bowl? You probably have only a week to pick...
18-0 Patriots, or the 13-6 Giants?
Last game, Pats 38-35, but the Giants held a double digit lead at one point, 28 -16.
So, who wins it Raptor?

Do you really understand Equalizer? Do you really fathom what I'm saying here?

The Giants are currently [the underdogs] in the wagering, at 3-1. I'm still mulling it over, but the cryptic references that I've given above will help point to an eventual winner. Something has happened that leads me to still wonder who will win. This connector event has me greatly perplexed. As I've said before here, I'm not an interpretor of my own work, but I'm learning. On the face of what I see above, I would lean towards a Giants victory, but something else has occurred, that has me pondering this leaning.
At this point I'm not sure, but if you can interpret the references above, then you may be ahead of me. I can't reveal this apparent connector event, but if you study my work over [here,] then you can guess what it might be.

Ok, not to try and add to any suspense, but I think I've got this game figured out. I never revealed the exact method, for how I determined the Fiesta Bowl, nor will I this one, but I know who will win the Superbowl.
In every game I show an interest in, I'm being given a clue beforehand, that's so amazing that it can barely be expressed in words. For now I'm keeping my cards close to my chest, but I plan to post my prediction before the coin toss, and hopefully it will be non cryptic. I am far more amazed at the clue, and why it was given to me, than I am by the prediction.

if you are doing this to make some money, you should look to MMA, if you can pick a fighter when he is an 11-1 underdog, you just made a hefty profit. and trust me in mma the 11-1 underdog gets the win alot more often than one would think. can you give me any predictions for any upcoming fights?
sorry for highjacking the football predictions with my UFC crap.

I can't do mine for money, but I don't care what you do with my picks. It's a perk for the AO members and watchers/lurkers.
As for Ultimate Fighting, I like watching it. I could probably do it also. Maybe after the Superbowl is over. Sometimes I only get a cryptic hint, however, as with the Packers - Giants playoff game.
This thread is open to any sports prediction.

Yeah, I could have told you that at that point in time (5:26 PM here). Since there is a 50% chance of being right, I have failed to be impressed.

Yeah I have to agree with DILLHOLE on this one. Pick a few long shots correctly and I'll be impressed.

Jesus said, that a prophet has no honor in his own country, so to expect honor from my countrymen is futile.
Actually, I think the odds were not 50/50 on this game. At least not according to the [bookmakers.] The headlines scream ["Giant Upset"] all over the place.
Far more important than my fifth sports game prediction, which includes 4 straight forward picks and 1 cryptic, IN A ROW was the miracle that I observed about 2 hours before the game, and which solidified my choice. It was the second best animal sign that I've been given in my entire life and it encouraged me greatly. All the State of Confusion needs to know, is ...
Besides the miracle I observed before this game, God has whispered into my eyes something far important than any football contest, because the man who likely won the game for New York, [David Tyree,] is a deeply spiritual man of great faith. Not only was God at work in this game, but he choose his key servant as the hero. Congratulations to the New York Giants, who were the obvious good guys in this game.

Many thanks to Metal for resurrecting this thread. After all, I did pick the winner of the Superbowl here, much to my nemeses chagrin, AND if you pay close attention to [post #3] above, at the 0:18 minute mark, I even gave you the spread. It's the only number in that video. Oh ...
Now we've entered what's known as the [Sweet 16,] and the men's college basketball finals.
WEST REGIONAL (Phoenix)
• No. 7 WEST VIRGINIA vs. No. 3 XAVIER, Thursday, March 27th - 7:10 ET
Was this expected? Don't think so, not with West Virginia's being a bubble team for the at-large pool in the final few weeks of the season. But when the bracket was announced, the Mountaineers had oodles of potential against an Arizona team staring at them in Round 1. Once the Wildcats were dispatched, all that awaited West Virginia was a wounded but seemingly determined Duke squad after the Blue Devils narrowly escaped with a one-point win over Belmont. Still, West Virginia reached the Sweet 16. That's impressive.
How did they get here? The Mountaineers became an offensive machine with balance as Alex Ruoff, Da'Sean Butler, Darris Nichols and Joe Alexander all made major contributions. Alexander was a big-time, NBA-draft talent in the win over Duke. But the stud of the game was backup point guard Joe Mazzulla, who came off the bench to score 13 points, grab 11 boards and dish out eight assists. The Blue Devils struggled on 3s against West Virginia, making just 5 of 22, and got hammered on the boards in a 45-19 advantage, including giving up 18 offensive rebounds.
What does this mean for the program? It's absolutely huge. There's no way to downplay the significance. John Beilein took the Mountaineers to the Sweet 16 with a special group led by Mike Gansey and Kevin Pittsnogle. Having alumnus Bob Huggins take West Virginia to the Sweet 16 in his first season will do wonders for recruiting and Huggins' stature in the state. The run probably eases a little bit of the sting from the Rich Rodriguez departure to Michigan, too.
Drama factor so far? The Mountaineers didn't have to beat Arizona or Duke in the final possessions. But both games had a high-level feel to them, and clearly the Mountaineers are playing intense ball from the opening tip. [Link]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
So why is this tournament so important? You have to go back to my [Sports Predictions Thread 2007] to remember. After all, we're back in Phoenix again, and I had unusual success with West Virginia, not only picking them to win the Fiesta Bowl, but the [winner's score.] They're doing quite well with their basketball team, also.
I'm also intrigued by [the prophesied tornado] which hit [Atlanta's Georgia Dome,] while SEC elements of this tournament were being played. You'll recall that it was the Alabama vs. Mississippi playoff game that was interrupted. Note that neither of these two teams advanced to the final SWEET 16 playoffs.
While I don't know who will win the final championship right now, I am prepared to say that West Virginia will do something remarkable, by four ways, and in two parts.
The age of WVU has begun ... they advance to the next round, and will beat Xavier.

Congrats on the 2k posts.
I love hockey, but I can't pull rabbits out of the hat like that, Smoke. It must be inspired, with respect to this sort of thing. The only reason I'm calling this game, is because I was moved to do it.

It's one thing to see a change in the language on a page, another to see a photo of my selection disappear. Here are a couple more public links to my pick for the big game tomorrow. [Link 1] [Link 2]
The [odds] are dropping some on Xavier, in the moneyline wagering. It looks like about $5 for every $100 wagered, just since yesterday. WVU's payout has increased by about ... $3.33 per $100 wagered. This means that more money is being laid down on Xavier, making WVU's slightly less favored. You can do the math for yourself, but essentially we're looking at even odds on Xavier and 0.84/1 for WVU's.
I'm not betting this game, as I am forbidden from it, but this is a perk for the members and lurkers of AO. Tip off is 7:10 p.m. Eastern Time tomorrow. I'm still researching who will broadcast the game.

Xavier stands at about 0.95/1 in the moneyline wagering, and WVU is at about 0.87/1.
CBS will air the WVU vs. Xavier game live, or you may watch it on CBS sports.com's website ... at http://www.ncaasports.com/mmod/waiti...od08_vip2_lvhp
Here's a guy touting Xavier as the best bet.
March 27th - Update and conclusion:
Final Score
Xavier 79 vs. WVU 75
[ESPN story]
My team lost by 4 points. My perfect sports winning streak, ruined. Is it because I can only do the weather and football? I took a long walk and thought about it, and have come to the following humble conclusions about this game.
1) The Jesuits don't need to repent.
Since I'm Catholic, it's contradictory to gamble against my own spiritual team. I didn't research [Xavier] until after making my prediction here, and this fact bothered me greatly when I read this, but I let the prediction stand. That was a mistake.
2) What I do has nothing to do with sports, but must be tied to repentance and education. I also changed my method for picking a winner/loser in this game, instead of using a method that has worked perfectly. All I can say is that it's tied to repentance education, and I am bound by this.
I can't make a prediction for the heck of it, or because I want to. Just like I cannot profit from this gift.
I will no longer be posting on this forum, I'm sorry to say, but my decision to leave has nothing to do with this outcome or any good or bad thing going on here. It's time for me to move on and to do something different.
I've enjoyed my time here, and wish the membership all the best. Anyone wishing to contact me, may do so via PM. Good luck and God Bless.
RW
