Recording Music/Audio

So, I've been working with a digital 8 track mixing board for the past several years. Recording music, net radio shows, etc, etc. It's good for demos and rough draft mixes.

I'm now upgrading to something for computer recording, from the 'Acid Pro' series of software, and look forward to learning all the new features.

Anybody else here have some cool digital recording equipment? Care to share tips and advice for storing files online?

Musicians here? What recording equipment do you use and what are a few of the most reputable methods of sharing audio files? The cheaper and simpler the better.

I used to have about dozen mini cables and a guitar cord to USB cable that I used to record little bits and pieces of music, I was never a singer or anything and really only did it to help discover things about my own playing, but it's interesting either way. Recently I lost the USB to guitar cable so I've been placing a pretty good microphone near the amp, which has a similar effect, just not as good.

For mixing I really have nothing, although I use audacity for listening purposes.

And that's the end of my pisspoor explanation of recording methods I've used.

Thanks for the response. I think my biggest problem will be in figuring out how to connect all these programs through different sources. I'm not necessarily computer illiterate but am also not very good on the tech end of things. Hoping to work on a new net show and music CD, so finger's crossed!

From the looks of this new program, uploading and storing files online will be the least complicated part. Just will take a little time.
