Queensland Australia: Bargara and The Gold Coast

I was thinking about this and it is in a way strange for me to even consider these pics in a "travel" category as both shown are now and were not too long ago "HOME", so PLEASE don't expect "touristy" snaps! lol

Anyway, here they are! I am by no means a profficient photographer and they were ALL taken on my humble mobile!







^---- The above pics are of a block of land we purchased to build some housing which is currently under construction as I type this. The place is called Bargara and is on the Coral Coast of Queensland Australia. It is the bottom "tip" of The Great Barrier Reef.





^--- Bundaberg, which is only minutes from Bargara and where we USED to call home. That is the view from a picnic area/bbq facilities on a place called Quay St(the middle of town) where we used to go often on Sunday afternoons and have a laze, a glass of vino and enjoy!



^--- No joke here... That is a pic of the salad I made to eat AT aforementioned BBQ/Picnic area!

I TOLD YOU THEY WOULDN'T BE TOURISTY!!! lol

More to come... photobucket is playing silly-buggers on me at the moment and I have to head off for a bit and reboot.

All of those pics remind me of both the Far Cry game and it's sequel...

...Watch out for ex-military-types living on houseboats and crazy mutants jumping football fields in single bounds, Cmar.

Ok Here are a couple more of Bundy. Just another from the view from the BBQ area....I will even throw in a shot OF the BBQ we used itself....lol and also the "Chateau le Cardboard" and UDL's we had out before the table was set. (yeah...grog priorities..)

This is an area called Baldwin Swamp. It is an "eco" area in Bundy and a place we used to frequent. I supose you can all guess by now, we tend to prefer nature over "hubb"! lol









Next post I will move on to The Gold Coast. :-)

We moved back down here only relatively recently. The scenes from the balcony you will see are of a place called Biggera Waters, which is situated on the broadwater, Nthrn end of The Gold Coast, which is about a 40 min drive south from Brisbane QLD, and about 45mins or so NORTH from the New South Wales/Queensland border.

I am an early riser and just LOVE sunrises. These are snaps I took at intervals the same day whilst sitting and having my coffee on a winters morning.

Never played either. Maybe though its makers/developers reside over here?? (serious point as if I recall the guys who made DOOM were Aussies in QLD) I may be wrong as I am not a "gamer"

I live on the GC now and there are crazy "botox" mutants everywhere! lol Ex mil types though? "dems my peeps" and that is the closest thing to ebonics you will ever get from me!
