Alot of them aren't really that universally known to be called a "celebrity", plus if you say "really?" then would that be considered not being open about it? If not then they really aren't celebrities in that case lol!

To a certain extent, I gotta agree with ya ..... there is always s proportion of any minority that seems to make an issue of things that nobody was ever really concerned about in the first place !! 
Kinda like the tiny percentage of black people who seem to think anything and everything has always got something to do with their race ..... a percentage of Gays do seem to think everything is about sexuality ..... does it really matter which celebrity is or isn't Gay ??
