Oldest Dinosaur Burrow found.
Interesting stuff!
The world's oldest dinosaur burrows have been discovered in Australia
.
Three separate burrows have been found in all, the biggest 2m long, each built to a similar design and just big enough to hold the body of a small dinosaur.
The 106-million-year-old burrows, the first to be found outside of North America, would have been much closer to the South Pole when they were created...

The magnetosphere was much much stronger back then (2.5 gauss) which allowed for such creatures of such size. It's thought that the reason creatures of such size have never evolved since is due to the declining strength of the magnetosphere (today it is about 0.5 gauss).

There are also theories revolving around oxygen levels as well to explain the size of the dinosaurs. One thing I've learned in studying geology is Occam's Razor doesn't always apply, thus the simplest answer isn't always the correct one. In many cases, especially in geology, it's a combination of theories that best explain a geologic event, not a single one--just like what we've been discussing related to the K/T extinction.

Very true laz. Oxygen levels is another interesting theory. But it's interesting to note that trees only provide a tiny amount of our oxygen. Something like 90% of our oxygen comes from algae in the sea.

Its 70-80 percent. That means trees are still VERY important.

Dinosaur has always been a part of ancient history and now this species has totally been obsolete and vanished from the human world. This is a good thing to found out a skull and skeleton of the worlds oldest dinosaur which is most appreciable and it is preserved as the lost memories for this ancient and most famous animal in the planet earth.
