Congressional Probe - Iraq / 911 Fakery
After Ron Suskind Reveals Bush Admin Ordered Iraq-9/11 Fakery, House Judiciary Chair John Conyers Opens Congressional Probe
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ron Suskind joins us for part two of an interview on his new book, The Way of the World: A Story of Truth and Hope in an Age of Extremism. Suskind reports that in 2003 the White House ordered the CIA to forge and disseminate false intelligence documents linking al-Qaeda and Iraq. While much of the attention on the book has focused on the forged letter, Suskind also reveals that the Bush administration and the British government knew prior to the war that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction
Click here for transcript of interview with Ron Suskind and Judiciary Chair, John Conyers
According to Ron Suskind the Bush administration ordered fake documents and the UK and US knew Iraq had no WMD before the invasion. Rep. Conyers has initiated a congressional probe in order to investigate Suskind's findings (if you listen to the interview, Rep. Conyers sounds quite grumpy).
Well, I don't know where this is going - Rep. Conyers says they are three days into the investigation, one of the most "critical" investigations they have ever done - he claims this is being started while Congress is on recess and he is obliged to call congress back for it. I'm listening to it now, oh yeah, he sounds very grumpy.

Thanks for the info on that..I find it amazing that people commit crimes of such a scale and then have the hubris to think they can get away with it..but then again..they do get away with it, for the most part.

At least no one got a blow job, now that would be a crime!
It looks like our only hope of justice is if these gangsters get so full of them selfs that they go to far and do something so outrageous that it cannot be ignored. Don't look to the democrats for justice they are a part of the problem there is plenty of things they could have done but instead they remain the whipping boys to the republican agenda.
I have a small amount of hope for Obama but that looks grim as well with his vote on the FISA bill and his seeming unwillingness to go for the vitals and hit these republicans right in the lies but it could be another Kerry fiasco with Obama just letting them kick him over and over again with no attempt at a defense or hitting back. Its still early yet and we may see some teeth from the dems but Im not holding my breath.
God I hate the two party system!!!

Oh, I couldn't agree with you more MP. The DP had plenty of time to take affirmative action on the plethora of misdeeds by the administration and so far, like you say, where is the justice? I don't see it.
Obama has given me pause now, largely because of his address to AIPAC and his hawkish statements when he visited Israel. He seems to have made a departure from his previous policy of using diplomacy rather than force. It gives one pause.

Wot like blow up the twin towers ?
No they have not got away with it and the peoples voice will be herd as soon as we regain our freedoms that are being removed day by day.
You can feel something is about to happen and that maybe the spark that wakes everyone up.

Sorry but they did get away with it no one with any power has the balls to speak up. As for our freedoms I don't see them coming back under the current two party system
the Democrats have done almost nothing to stop this rampant law breaking and lying.
I still vote for some of them in some off hope that one will upset the status quo but I don't place the odds very high. Ironically I think it will ultimately be the freedom loving gun nuts that will call them to task when they realize that these so call conservatives have wiped their collective ass's with our precious constitution. There will be no spark unless people wake up an smell the bullshit. Lets pray that we do!

Unless they rewrite physics then no they have not got away with it and more and more people are demanding a full investigation so sure they have planned it well but this does not mean they will remain so luckey much longer.
We are heading into a major recession/depression and this will sharpen peoples minds as things crumble and people will see the goverment for what they are and demand justice.
Bush will not get away with planting a nuke in the USA and saying it's Iran that did it as people are not going to be fooled again so his grip on america has weakened now he has less tools.

yes, it is referred to as an election. America always hates its leaders, lincoln did not have overwhelming support- things come and go- no big deal. It is almost as if everyone has tunnel vision and repeat the same nonimaginative leaps. 9/11 was faked! yawn. Iraq is wrong! yawn. There are historical perspectives. there are strategical considerations that i assume we know nothing about- i would think it more dangerous to give away over all strategical thinking than to placate the uniformed.

Good line. If you put that in general election terms, it could actually apply to both presidential nominees. May the best politician win.
