change thread title?
Is there a way to change the title of a thread?
I know how to edit on the page. But how do you change the title on the section content page?

Nothing works, ever, to change the title of your thread.
I thought I'd figured it out but was wrong. Even if you go to advanced editing options, and think you've been successful, you've only given the thread a sub-title. The main title of the thread cannot be changed by us mere posters.
Being good at spelling but horrid at typing, I've been embarrassed more than once by a misspelled title to a thread.
I think if you pay Lycanox $20, he'll do it for you. ;-)

Oddly enough under "usergroup permissions" - whichever group you are in, there is no option to allow a group of users to edit their own thread titles.
It's sort of a mod thing... just don't bone your title the first time :)

Hopefully this works.... users should now have up to 5 minutes to change the title after posting. So give it a whirl and lemme know in here if it works :)

Have any regular users tried this new tome period to edit a title yet? does it work?
Most of my test accounts don't have "standard" permissions by any means.
Anyone?

IT WORKS!!!
You must click "Go Advanced" in order to change the title.
I changed my title because it was too lengthy to fit the marquee space.

Why has my title changed?
The title edit worked well yesterday. My title read "Homeless "Disappearing"?"
Now it has somehow changed to read "Homeless..."
Why has this happened automatically?
