beagle 25 december

why is the beagle landing on mars on dec 25? the usa landers are due there on jan 4 and jan 26. did the eu do this on purpose or is it a coincidence? i myself think that we should have men on mars already, what is this country waiting for , compitition? lets go all the way with this and just do it, i would live on mars, english were so good at exploring earlier, is this what they are doing. maybe we need to let england colonize the place first? give me feedback.
