NEW YORK (Reuters) - Jimmy Walter has spent more than $3 million (1.5 million pounds) promoting a conspiracy theory the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States were "an inside job" and he is offering more cash to anyone who proves him wrong. The millionaire activist is so convinced of a government cover-up he is offering a $100,000 reward to any engineering student who can prove the World Trade Centre buildings crashed the way the government says.

Problem is, even if he were to find an engineer who could prove 911 was an inside job many people won't listen. He would need a stronger medium to convince the american public and that would require the mainstream media. CNN and all those high profiled companies have to be willing to support his case. To be honest, the collapse of Building 7 should have been enough to convince the media to cooperate. But for some suspicious reason most of these investigations have been shrouded with secrecy. Also, even if a great deal of evidence were to be presented the hardcore Bush/Iraq war supporters will never give up because to them, America = government. Their extremely limited view of american patriotism makes them highly incapable of discerning the two. It's like trying to convince a moron that he needs to change, but instead he does little to improve and in fact continues to embrace his attention-hungry moronic tendencies. Quite sad actually.

My physics professor explained it all to me (about how the government's story is indeed valid), but you know that if it was submitted to this nutjob, he would just say it was invalid.

If there were flaws in the government's story, people in the know (ie professors) would come forward.
